Students and Workers are fighting back!

Across the country, people like you are fighting back against attacks being waged against our communities. In the past few days we’ve seen hundreds of thousands people taking action around the country and there’s more to come! We are still fighting back against attacks on higher education and collective bargaining, attacks on undocumented workers and women, and attacks on the public sector at large.

This is what a movement looks like. This is what democracy looks like.

And we’re not done yet! Tomorrow, March 15th, there will be actions taking place across the country – check out the map to find an action near you! Also, a national day of action on April 4th is currently being planned in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his work towards social and economic justice. SLAP will be partnering with organizations across the country as we stand in solidarity with one another and reclaim our future. Click here to find a rally or action near you!

As all of the rallies are being planned, SLAP is also supporting other campaigns around the country to protect workers and communities. Please take a moment to support these campaigns and get involved!

This month, HPAE Local 5103 Red Cross workers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania are entering negotiations to fight for safe staffing practices and working conditions. Stand in solidarity and tell the Red Cross you demand worker and donor safety!
